Balsam Mountain Stewards: Warm-up for the Christmas Bird Count

Join Amy at the Nature Center, grab a cup of hot tea or hot chocolate, and brush up on your bird ID skills. We’ll look at photos and listen to recordings of some of the birds we’re most likely to encounter at the Preserve this time of year, and challenge ourselves with a bird ID quiz (no pressure!). Learn how you can participate in the annual Christmas Bird Count on count day (Dec. 31) or the three days before and after. Or just come for the fun with fellow avian enthusiasts.
