Mushroom spores are one way that some fungi reproduce, and the color of a mushroom spore print can also help identify fungi. But spore prints of mushrooms can also be very beautiful and decorative when caught on paper, almost like a wispy ghost of the mushroom’s gill arrangement. Come join Gina Patton to collect summer mushrooms and bring them back to the Nature Center to create beautiful mushroom spore prints. Meet at the Nature Center. Please note that spore prints do best when they sit overnight undisturbed, so you will need to leave your prints at the nature center to be picked up the next day.
