Late Summer Plant Walk at Cold Springs Gap

They’re one of the last places for spring to arrive and some of the first to greet fall: higher elevations in the Southern Appalachian Mountains act as climate havens for many species endemic to more northerly latitudes. Join Michael O’Cain, the Trust’s Research and Conservation Intern, and Southern Appalachian plant enthusiast, at Cold Springs Gap, where we’ll get a botanical preview of what to expect cascading down the mountains this fall.
