Fireflies and Faerie Lights

Join Amy on a nighttime walk to search for the magical and elusive Blue Ghost. Blue Ghosts are a unique firefly species in these parts. Rather than flashing on and off, as most fireflies do, Blue Ghosts light their lamps with an eerie, blue-ish light, and keep them glowing as they weave through the trees just a foot or two above the forest floor. Seeing them is truly a wondrous experience – and they only appear for a few weeks each year. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a flashlight. Meet at the Nature Center.
