NC Spider Search

Join Amy and Michael at the Nature Center to take part in a statewide citizen science project to admire and document our 8-legged friends. We’ll search for spiders of all kinds, take photos, and submit them to the project. Bring a phone with the free iNaturalist app downloaded (we can show you how at the Nature Center), or you can also take photos with your phone or digital camera and upload them later. Document at least 7 spiders to earn your official NC Spider Search badge!
