Why Native Plants?

For this year’s plant sale, we have put together a catalog of native plants that are both beautiful and support native pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. Did you know that it takes over 6000 caterpillars for a pair of chickadees to raise a clutch of chicks? Those caterpillars need food too and native plants are the tastiest.

“But I don’t want caterpillars eating up my garden!” – Cool thing about native plants is that they are often food for caterpillars while still looking glorious with beautiful flowers that attract butterflies and other pollinators. You can support the birds and the bees with some flowers and some trees…and a thing called love.

Check out the catalog below and use this handy order form to get your native plant game going in 2023.
