The Balsam Mountain Trust recognizes and respects the Indigenous land that it occupies and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians who continue to steward this land as their ancestors did before them.  The Trust is founded on the principles of environmental preservation and we are indebted for the work of the Tsalagi Gawonihisdi (Cherokee) historically and presently in this role. We hope to honor and encourage conversation as well as action to support the culture and people of the Cherokee Nation.
